MSUtrition Goes Vegan, Allergy-Free

MSU College of Human Medicine

Joggers! I've got some great things to share with you if you are attending Michigan State University as a student or a visitor, and your needs are to eat vegan or allergy-free.

Things have sure improved in just the four years that I have been here! I guess that is the way things always are, they are always changing and improving!

First, if you are not concerned about allergies and can eat any vegan product, check out the Starbucks at Wells Hall.  They've partnered with Eat-At-State and are now serving vegan bagels!
The bagels contain soybean/and or/canola oils. Allergen: Wheat

Next, keep your eyes pealed for various stations in all the cafs.  There are vegan and vegetarian options for meals.

Now to allergies...

Eat-At-State is now willing to work with you one-on-one if you have food allergies and will be eating in the cafeteria for most of your meals.  This is great news!

They have a program called MSUtrition, where you can have a meeting with dietitians,  dining hall managers and the executive chefs from each of the 14 dining halls about meeting your allergy needs.

If you are like me, you are always checking the back of products for every single ingredient. With this program, you can now look up every single ingredient in the food you are about to eat at the caf. Just go online to:

This is so good to know that change is happening, and it is happening in some places that you may not have expected such big change.

Ask Our Dietician - Eat-at-State

For any current MSU students, we are blessed to be able to use this service as we wrap up our undergraduate degrees! For students that have more time here or who may just be arriving, take advantage of this! I am so happy to share this news with you.

As always, thanks for "Jogging with Me"!
